The relay did have some rust on it's springs so I think at best, it was mid-life. I figured that these parts would have needed replacing in the not to distant future anyways, so the time and effort to re-open the unit, return the parts, another hour+ of driving and shipping the capacitor back, was not worth it. I have briefly looked into how this process could work in a browser, and i think it's doable, albeit more work than what I did. What I'm in the process of setting up on my website will probably end up tapping into a set of files representing all or most of the permutations using common PCB form factors, like arduino uno/mega, raspi, etc. Pedantitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09869531706898136847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7742255037214704776.post-63682144033201325302014-11-20T16:49:12.171-05:002014-11-20T16:49:12.171-05:00nice introduction to me. i would also consider inp...nice introduction to me. i would also consider input parameters from a web form, find a way to process it and output to some cad file format (like stl) that let visualize it online. i'm apreciate if you consider give me some conseils. regards, pescadito.<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7742255037214704776.post-9781655604402563672014-11-20T10:19:10.834-05:002014-11-20T10:19:10.834-05:00It's been brought to my attention that my titl...It's been brought to my attention that my title is redundant, the "D" in CAD is "design". If I had it to do over again, I would have probably called it something else. I was trying to capture the gist without getting too wordy. "Automated CAD" would not have worked. "Designs by Automated CAD" or "Design of an Automated CAD System", or a number of others would have been better. Such it life, it's etched in virtual stone now :). However, I wonder if ...Steve, that is a good catch! However, I wonder if this is an area where the datasheet is misleading, because the code seems to work. If I had to speculate, I'd say that the datasheet paragraph you quote might only apply to "autotriggering" mode of the ADC, which I'm not using here. The datasheet doesn't state that it is only for auto-triggered modes, but it wouldn't make a lot of sense to lock the register even in the face of a manually initiated capture. This means that if ADCL has been read, and a conversion completes before ADCH is read, neither register is updated and the result from the conversion is lost. The new domain is using Google Domains, and interestingly, Blogger's instructions lack instructions for Google Domains. I deleted my domain settings and re-entered exactly as the were before, it it seems to work differently now. (except the old Feedburner feed url seems totally gone). The proper atom feed going forward is : http://www.bytecruft.com/feeds/posts/default though as I write this, feedly's DNS servers seem to be looking in the wrong place.Pedantitehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09869531706898136847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7742255037214704776.post-23879256616939882852014-09-22T22:55:47.709-04:002014-09-22T22:55:47.709-04:00Karl, thanks for the heads up!
